New Ski Terrain Opens: Montezuma Bowl at Arapahoe Basin Friday, January 11, 2008
Montezuma Bowl is open! The new expansion increases the ski area’s terrain by 80 percent. The 400-acre Montezuma Bowl, on the backside of Arapahoe Basin, is the nation’s largest terrain expansion for the 2007-2008 ski season.
The new terrain includes blue, black and double black slopes for an additional 36 runs. The skier and rider will discover cornices, chutes, glades and wide-open bowls. Several runs will be groomed nightly, providing the intermediate guest with much coveted additional cruising terrain. Hike-back terrain below the lower lift terminal is also available for the adventurous skier or rider who has more interest in experiencing a remote, backcountry feel.

A major snowstorm swept through Colorado over the weekend leaving in its path up to 51 inches of fresh snow on some resorts. With this recent blanketing of snow, combined with early season snowfall, Colorado enters its 3rd month of the 2007-08 ski season with resorts reporting conditions of powder and packed powder. |

Summit Foundation Golf Tourney Tuesday, June 26, 2007
The Summit Foundation presented the Adam Foote Celebrity Golf Tournament with play over two days, Monday & Tuesday, June 25th & 26th.
On behalf of Adam Foote, this was an exclusive golf extravaganza as pro-sports celebrities tee it up in the name of charity. Each team of four golfers was paired with a different celebrity each day and enjoyed tournament play at two of Summit County’s premier golf courses on alternate days. Proceeds from this event benefit The Foote Foundation and The Summit Foundation.
