Calling all artists: the town of Silverthorne wants to welcome you home.
Open now are applications for three private studios at the Art Spot Makerspace, an art collective inside a renovated firehouse near the town’s new Fourth Street Crossing development.
“These private rooms, offered at subsidized rates, provide local artists and creative businesses with the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and thrive within Silverthorne,” writes the town on Instagram.
Rental rates range from $180 to $288 a month depending on studio size. Interested applicants must apply by Monday, Feb. 17 at noon. Applicants will be selected through an organized process with the Silverthorne Art Board.
The studios are not limited to traditional artists. As long as you fit art board criteria, you can use the space for production, creative sector business offices, drink and/or food concessions, or any other use to complement the Art Spot.
Artists get after-hours access to their studios and marketing through town events like First Friday.
