The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Summit County until 3pm Tuesday. Heavy snow is expected with total snow accumulations between 8 and 18 inches. Winds will be gusty, up to 60 miles an hour.
This means there will likely be slick and hazardous driving conditions with reduced visiblity. The snow comes just as Copper Mountain announces they are extending their ski season into May. A-Basin, Loveland, Copper, and Breckenridge are all still open and ready to take advantage of new spring snow. Keystone and Beaver Creek are both closed.
