Summit, Leadville hospitals back in network for Peak Health in 2025

Peak Health Alliance is back for 2025 and promising some of the cheapest healthcare rates in the High Country.

The not-for-profit insurance advocate is working with Denver Health for a second year. This week they announced low-cost premium and deductible plans for nine rural counties, including Summit, Lake, Park and Grand.

In-network again for 2025 are St. Anthony Summit Hospital, St. Vincent in Leadville and Middle Park Health in Kremmling.

New this year is a partnership with mental health provider Sondermind and its network of 3,000 counselors.

Almost every Peak Health plan includes free preventative care, and free or low-cost primary care and mental health visits.

Most Peak Health plans do not come with dental or vision.

Peak Health was founded in Summit and enjoyed rapid success in 2019 and 2020 before a falling out with its first insurance partner, Bright Health. The Minnesota provider grew too fast and was inundated with claims, forcing it to leave Colorado and multiple other states. Tens of thousands of patients scrambled for a new provider and Peak Health went dormant for a year.

Those problems did not return last year, when Peak Health launched its partnership with Denver Health.
