Eagle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a disturbance Wednesday just before 10pm at Second Street Park in Gypsum. There they found that several teenagers had been involved in an argument or fight and one teenager was seriously injured. He’s been identified as Jackson Davis, a ninth grader at Eagle Valley High School.
According to the sheriff’s department Facebook post, Davis was taken to the hospital but didn’t survive. A juvenile suspect was arrested a short time later and is still in police custody.
Family members have set up a gofundme campaign to help Davis’s mother.
