$40k raised at the 8th annual First Friday locals’ party in Silverthorne

The eighth annual First Friday Locals’ Appreciation Party this year was big, but not quite the biggest in history.

Hundreds of people on May 1 helped Silverthorne raise $40,000 for six local nonprofits. Last year’s event, with compilatory beer, wine and liquor tastings, raised almost $47,000 for a record that still stands.

Money this year went to charities of all sizes, including Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center – celebrating its 50th anniversary – Building Hope, Silverthorne Elementary PTA, Smart Bellies, Summit Musicians Relief Fund and Women of the Summit.

Rocking the stage this year were the Chris Bauer Band and Joel Lotitio Trio. Photos via town of Silverthorne, Highside Brewing and Angry James Brewing.
