5 in a row! Krystal 93 claims 2024 Station of the Year at state broadcaster awards

“Colorado’s Finest Rock” claimed Colorado’s biggest award yet again.

Krystal 93 won medium market Station of the Year at the 2024 Awards of Excellence banquet, hosted by the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

This is our fifth consecutive year winning the state title, stretching back to 2020. Since going on air in 1988 Krystal 93 has been Station of the Year 11 times.

The entire Krystal Media family gathered to celebrate at The Ritz-Carlton Denver, including sales staff and DJs from C-Rock 103.3 and 93.1 Summit County, joined by station owner Roger Ogden.

“I attribute our success to having a team of hard working, very capable and creative people who go the extra mile, every day for Summit County,” Ogden says. Adds general manager Lindsey Cotton, “The Krystal Media team continues to go above and beyond for our community and our listeners. It’s an absolute honor to work alongside this team.”

Dozens of stations submitted hundreds of entries for a shot at 2024 Station of the Year. Krystal 93’s eight individual wins gave us the edge over KPMX 105.7 from Sterling and four “certificate of merit” honors sealed the deal.

In our category were FM stations from Vail, Aspen, Steamboat, Sterling, Salida and right here in Summit.
