Fire crews are back in the field today near Green Mountain Reservoir, looking for the source of a small wildfire that burned less than one-tenth of an acres Tuesday afternoon.
The Saddle Fire sparked on a ridgeline of Williams Peak on U.S. Forest Service property. There are power lines nearby.
Firefighters with Summit Fire & EMS responded soon after. The fire grew minimally after briefly spewing smoke within sight of Highway 9. Summit Fire was sharing photos to Facebook:

A small wildfire is spewing smoke north of Silverthorne near Green Mountain Reservoir.
Summit County Sheriff confirms the fire started early this afternoon. No word on the cause. It is burning on less than one acre of U.S. Forest Service land in the Williams Peak area.
No structures are threatened. Aerial fire crews are currently flying to the site for a better estimate on size and location.
Smoke might be visible from Heeney, Green Mountain Reservoir, and Highway 9 between the reservoir and Kremmling.
