An Aurora man is charged with burglary, eluding and more for a rash of crimes between Breckenridge and Bill’s Ranch last week.
Summit County Sheriff’s Office confirms Hector Castellanos-Divas, 29, remains in local jail on 16 charges, including nine felonies:
- Second Degree Burglary (dwelling)- Felony
- Motor Vehicle Theft- Felony
- Vehicular Eluding- Felony
- Theft $5000-$19999- Felony
- 1st Degree Criminal Trespass X3 – Felony
- 2nd Degree Burglary – Felony
- Warrant out of Garfield County – Felony
- Criminal Trespass (Vehicle) – Misdemeanor
- Reckless Driving- Misdemeanor
- Theft $1000-$2000 – Misdemeanor
- Theft $300-$1,000 – Misdemeanor
- Possession of Burglary Tools – Misdemeanor
- Obstructing a Peace Officer – Misdemeanor
- Theft under $300 – Petty Offense
Castellanos-Divas was spotted lurking in a black mask around homes on Moonstone Road before fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle to Bill’s Ranch, a neighborhood near Frisco, where he ditched the car and fled on foot. He disappeared for 16 hours before he was caught the next morning breaking into a car in Frisco.
Bill’s Ranch and nearby Frisco Elementary School were put on lockdown for over an hour.
Authorities traced the stolen car to the Front Range, where they believe Castellanos-Divas could be tied to other burglaries. He is due in Summit County court later this week.
