Fruition, Neal Francis and a whole lot of local bands playing Dillon Amp free Mondays

Dillon Amphitheater is the place to be on Mondays this summer with a lineup of 13 free shows, featuring Grammy award winners and local favorites.

Mountain Music Mondays opens with a band on June 15 with co-headliners Fruition and Magoo. Most places on this planet you’d have to pay pretty to see either one of them!

Free music is on stage every Monday (and one Sunday) through Sept. 7, when returning favorites Ozomatli play with openers Los Hermanos Latin Funk.

The openers this year just might be our favorite part of the Dillon free music series. It is all local, (almost) all the time with Frisco Funk Collective opening for tribute act Queen Nation on July 6, the Beau Thomas Band opening for MarchFourth marching band on July 7, and the return of local rock project Satellite 13 playing with singer-songwriter Neal Francis on Aug. 31.

Our other favorite part of free Mondays at Dillon Amp? Beer and confession sales benefit a local nonprofit. Last year the series raised a record $25,000 for groups like the FIRC, Building Hope and Friends of the Dillon Ranger District.

Dillon might still have a few ticketed shows left to announce, although recent noise over noise might already be suffocating the summer season. Keep it tuned to the Dillon Amp website for the latest.
