Park City is still recovering from its Viper bites.
Breck’s semi-pro hockey team, the Breckenridge Vipers, outscored the Park City SilverKings by 16 goals this weekend, including a 9-0 shaming at the home opener Friday. On Saturday the Vipers won 13-6.
The Vipers have been on a tear early this season, going undefeated in four games and outscoring their opponents 44 to 8.
The hometown boys hope to keep the scoring streak alive this weekend with a two-game home set against the Mansfield Barracuda.
And Breck is fighting for redemption: The Vipers lost both meetings with the Barracuda last year, including a rare 3-2 loss, one of the lowest scoring games of the season.
