Town of Breckenridge is just about done laying nearly $3 million of artificial turf on the Kingdom Park ballfields.
The north field has been finished since late August. The south field is getting its new turf this Friday. A week’s worth of Summit County Softball games on the south field were canceled for the delay.
Otherwise, town staff says this project is on time and under budget.
Up next is a facelift for the pavilion and bathrooms between the two fields. Town council just approved that project. A design firm is drawing up blueprints now for construction next summer.
