City Market unveils fresh produce discounts for locals on food stamps, Medicaid

Available now at City Market in Summit County are deep discounts on fresh produce for people on SNAP and other Federal food benefits, along with military veterans and those on Medicaid.

Parent company Kroger launched a new fruit and vegetable discount program this week at all its major brands nationwide, including City Market and King Soopers.

Says the company in a statement, via 9 News, “customers who receive SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, National School Lunch Program, and Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit assistance will be eligible for its Verified Savings Program. Through this, customers will receive 20% off fruits and vegetables.”

Unlock your savings by first registering with SheerID. Your verification is good for five months, when it must be reconfirmed. Then, make sure you have a City Market account. Enrollment in both programs is required to claim your produce discounts.
