“Backcountry & Bourbon” is back for its 6th season, taking place at Warren Station in Keystone. This renowned Spirits and Speaker Series has continuously expanded and evolved, making it an eagerly anticipated event. This year, attendees are in for a treat with two captivating 30-minute talks presented by the Colorado Mountain School. These talks dive deep into the heart of backcountry exploration, shedding light on the human factors that influence our decisions and sharing thrilling anecdotes of being lost in the wilderness. Keystone’s Ski Patrol will also provide insight and inspiration into what it takes to train an avy dog. To further enhance the experience, there will be 15-minute Pendleton whisky tastings between these enlightening discussions, allowing guests to savor the rich flavors of this exceptional bourbon and set the tone for each talk.
What makes this event even more remarkable is its commitment to giving back. A percentage of ticket proceeds will be donated to CRAD. Last year’s donation funded crucial backcountry education for their newest avalanche dog, making a tangible difference in the safety and well-being of those exploring the wild.
