Town of Frisco wants to rebuild the dirt road to a water storage tank near Old Dillon Reservoir, overlooking Dillon Dam Road.
This means 800 feet of new road where the existing road is steep and blown out. In some places the road is about a 30% grade. That’s about as steep as a blue run.
But first Frisco needs U.S. Forest Service approval. And it should be easier than most projects. This road most likely does not need a complete environmental review.
If approved work could start this summer, preparing for maintenance on the water tank itself in 2025.
Comments on this project are due to the USFS Dillon Ranger District office by May 21.
