Summit County Goverment posted on social media that the Dillon Dam Road could reopen as soon as tomorrow, April 16, but that is weather dependent.
The post says maintenance and clearing operations are 95% complete and workers are hopeful Dillon Dam Road will be opened by mid-morning Tuesday.
The Road & Bridge Department will monitor the weather conditions overnight before making the call to open the road tomorrow. You can be alerted as soon as it reopens by signing up for SC Alert at summitcountyco.gov/1149/Summit-County-Alert
Crews have also cleared and swept the rec path that follows the Dillon Dam Road so when the road opens, that will also reopen. The road has been closed for 2 weeks ever since the “rock burst” happened on Easter Sunday.
