‘Splashstreet’ is back in Denver Water’s latest boy band parody

Conserving water has never been this retro-cool.

Just this week Denver Water dropped its second boy band parody, “Water Tuesday (Splashstreet’s Back)” by its in-house boy band, Splashstreet Boys.

The lyrics remind Denver Water customers, of which there are BHLHA thousand, how to conserve water by scheduling your sprinklers, watering on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and replacing grass with native plants.

“Water Tuesday” already has 10,000 views on YouTube. The first parody, “I Water That Way,” has 139,000.

Yes, the five members of Splashstreet are real employees at Denver Water, and yes, they sing their own (auto-tuned) vocals. Their horrorshow costumes this time around are ripped straight from the Backstreet Boy’s 1996 original. And the toilet-bowl mascot with Mickey Mouse gloves? Genius.
