Mountain town favorites Split Window are going through a tough time right now.
Lead guitarist Mike Woodard (royalty of the Copper après scene) was recently diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, a form of skin cancer that can rapidly spread through the body.
This 11-person mega-group is no stranger to rocking out for a cause, but this weekend’s gig at Highside Brewery in Frisco hits a little closer to home. The band is raising money to support Mike and his family during his treatment and recovery.
Today on Music at the Summit we are showing love to Mike and Split Window with “Fresh Start,” spinning on air at 9:50 a.m. and 3:50 p.m.
Then don’t miss the benefit show at Highside Brewery on Saturday Jan. 11. Live music from 7-10 p.m. with a silent auction and raffle. Every cent goes back to Mike.
