There is a changing of the guard at The Summit Foundation.
The nonprofit welcomes a new executive director, Ellen Reid. She comes to the Foundation from Breckenridge Grand Vacations. Before that she was head honcho at Keystone Science School for 16 years.
“Her extensive background in education, community-building, and nonprofit leadership makes her the perfect fit for this role,” said Barb Rankin, Summit Foundation board president, in a statement.
Reid takes over for outgoing executive Jeanne Bistranin, who is retiring after nearly a decade running the Foundation.
“Jeanne has exemplified the true meaning of service, working tirelessly to support our mission and ensuring that our values of compassion, collaboration, and community are at the forefront of everything we do,” Rankin said soon after Bistranin’s retirement announcement in September 2024.
“Her strategic vision and action-oriented approach have been instrumental in advancing our initiatives and making a tangible difference in Summit County and beyond.”
