One person is in custody after a fire burned nearly 7 acres of open space near Whole Foods in Frisco May 10
Authorities confirm the person is not from the area. They have not released additional details about the suspect, pending charges through the local district attorney.
The fire was reported around 5 p.m. and burned approximately 6.3 acres of Town of Frisco open space inside the Meadow Creek conservation easement.
This 10.88-acre conservation easement was designated in 2020 and includes wetlands with primarily willows and an adjacent riparian area and floodplain buffer.
There were no injuries or structure damage reported, and Summit Fire and EMS; Red, White, and Blue Fire; and the Frisco Police Department responded to the incident.
