Where to find Santa Claus skating and skiing on Christmas Eve

Santa is a busy guy on Christmas Eve, but not too busy to go skiing and ice skating with the kiddos of Summit County.

Over at Keystone, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., make the trek to The Outpost at North Peak for hot cocoa, cookies and photos with Santa. He’ll be hanging out at Timber Ridge Lodge.

Then, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., stop by Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge for your chance to go ice skating with Santa. You’ll have to pay for the skating and skate rental, but a visit with the Big Guy – and one last chance to give him your Christmas list – is totally free.

Once the sun goes down tune into the NORAD Santa Tracker, watching via radar as the jolly old elf and his eight tiny reindeer (plus Rudolph) circumnavigate the globe en route to Breckenridge. There’s even an app these days.
