Yes, high school students made these skis and snowboards PHOTOS

You’re about to see the future.

Tonight, Jan. 6, in Breckenridge, was the 2025-26 showcase for the Summit High School ski and snowboard manufacturing course.

Packed into two floors at RMU, students were showing off — and sometimes pitching — 29 pairs of custom skis, snowboards and even a few monoskis. They explained how they designed, cut, pressed and wrote specs for their creations this past semester. Teachers Tom Lutke and Erin Scott-Williams laughed, explaining how a few were completed just hours earlier at the on-campus ski shop designed for this course. They were virtually hot off the press.

Some have no edges. Others are experimental shapes. The graphic on one inspired a tattoo. This Friday, all will be test ridden at A-Basin to see how they actually ride.

The sky is the limit in the future, and these students sent it.
