Mountain Top Explorium Kicks Off Spring Scholarship Campaign Pancake Breakfast in Support of Local Families
Local Non-Profit Partners with Alpine Bank to Double Impact for Kids in Community

Breckendridge, Colorado —March 27, 2025—Through the generosity of Alpine Bank, local nonprofit Mountain Top Explorium announces the kick-off to the 2nd Annual Spring Scholarship Campaign. For every dollar donated during the campaign, Alpine Bank will match up to $7,500, raising $15,000 for local scholarships.

The Mountain Top Explorium scholarship program provides all families throughout Summit County with access to Mountain Top’s numerous school break programs, including afterschool, district school breaks, and summer camps.

“At Mountain Top Explorium, we are a community resource that nurtures connections between children and their world through exploration, creativity, and relationships, “ said Dave Miller, Mountain Top’s Executive Director. “We want to thank Alpine Bank and The Silverthorne Elks Lodge for their generosity and partnership as these funds go directly to support working families here in Summit County.”

The Spring Campaign kicks off Sunday, April 6, with a Community Pancake Breakfast, equal parts fundraiser and friend-raiser, in partnership with the Silverthorne Elks Lodge. All families are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast and kid-focused entertainment, including arts and crafts and games, and set this year’s Scholarship Campaign off in the right direction.

Community focus groups have recently highlighted the need for affordable, consistent, and location-based child care options throughout the County. Mountain Top Explorium aims to meet these needs through our programs and financial assistance. Rising costs for housing, food, and other essentials underscore the importance of funding out-of-school time, which enables working families to maintain consistent working hours while ensuring their children are participating in enriching childcare activities. For more details about our successes with these programs’ relaunch in January, please read the 2024 Fall Update.

“Whether you join us for breakfast at the Silverthorne Elks Lodge on the 6th, donate, or help spread the word. Together, we can allow every child in our community to thrive,” noted Miller.
