The Old Dillon Inn is (maybe finally) making a comeback this summer, courtesy of a Frisco restaurateur.
Michal Ulehla, owner of Bagalis and Bread and Salt, has applied for a liquor license at the ODI. He has plans for a kitchen there too.
Months ago the town confirmed he was opening a breakfast restaurant at the ODI, but it never came together in time for ski season. He has not responded to a request for comment.
The classic saloon has been dormant inside Silverthorne’s Bluebird Market since before the pandemic, when the town agreed to build a market around it. The ODI itself has not served a drink since 2007.
Ulehla’s restaurant history is filled with ups and downs. Bagalis and Bread and Salt, both on Main Street, are two of the more successful restaurants in Frisco. Another concept, Doma, opened and closed twice in two separate locations, first on Main Street Breckenridge, then next door to Safeway in Frisco.
