Save orphaned birds with CPW

Volunteers needed for Summit County Wildlife Transport team

Colorado Parks and Wildlife wants you to join the wildlife transport team. CPW officer Alex Strasser explains, “Wildlife transport team really is an opportunity to handle some of those calls where we can’t be there because we’re covering something else.”

And don’t worry– they give you all the training you need.  Volunteers like Doug Spinner have been helping for years.  “It’s great. You get to interact very closely with wildlife — birds and small mammals. We don’t deal with moose or any of the big animals.”

Learn more about the wildlife transport team and other ways to volunteer this Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center in Frisco.
